Mycamera, one of South Africa’s best photography equipment suppliers have announced their new strategy for the store. The ever changing company, have made the decision to go back to their roots and become an online only ecommerce store.
In 2009, MyCamera was launched as an online camera store, to provide customers with excellent service, professional advice and photographic products at the most competitive prices. However at that time, South Africa was not ready for this new “ecommerce” type of venture (imagine shopping online only – no way!!), so in 2012 mycamera followed their traditional roots and opened a physical store in Roeland Square, Cape Town. After running the store for a good 3 years now, and seeing how “ecommerce” has become a booming market in our country, mycamera are now ready to go back to their dream and become an online only store (and after a scary armed robbery – who could blame us!!!)
By 1 October 2014, mycamera will be moving from Bricks to Clicks and joining forces with various other ecommerce ventures. The Roeland Square store will be transformed into a new online hub, where the mycamera online head office will be based. Mycamera customers will still be able to pop into our new ecommerce hub, and pick up their orders or chat to our friendly professionals about anything relating to the mycamera products.
In celebration of the new strategy, mycamera are launching a crazy discount on selected camera’s and accessories which you can now purchase in store or online. This is not the end, it is merely the beginning for some very exciting times.
