FAQ’s for shopping with mycamera

At mycamera, we believe in making your shopping experience as simple as possible. Therefore, to make things even more convenient for you, we’ve compiled a list of answers to frequently asked questions.

Is it safe to shop on mycamera?

Yes. We use MyGate as our main payment platform, which is a secure, online payment processing service. In addition, mycamera does not have access to the numbers on your credit card, but you can read their terms and conditions here.

What is the waiting time for product delivery?

After your payment has been confirmed and approved, we then process your purchase. From here, you can expect delivery between 4 and 7 business days.

However, if the product is considered a special order, depending on the supply, it may take between 2 and 4 weeks to reach you.


What qualifies as a special order?

These are orders that are not readily available from our suppliers. This means that products under “special order” need to be enquired about before making a purchase. To make an enquiry, simply email us at info@mycamera.co.za.

If I am unhappy with my product can I return or refund it?

Yes, of course. Please, click here to read our returns and refunds policies on our Ts&Cs page.

How do I  know that my order has been placed and processed successfully?

Once you have placed your order, a confirmation email is sent to you with the amount due. Then, once payment has been received, your product is ordered in and shipped to you.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes, as all orders come with a waybill code that can be tracked on our courier’s website.

As a hobbyist, do I need a license to pilot a drone?


No you don’t. However, if you are planning on flying the drone for commercial use then a license would be required. So, if you are planning on utilising the drone to make money or to start a business, you would need to apply for a license.

Is it possible to order from outside of South Africa?

Unfortunately not, as we only sell our merchandise within the borders of South Africa.

Do you stock everything on your site?

We stock certain items on our website, everything you see on our website is available from our suppliers and can be ordered in when you purchase an item.
