Delivery policy

Subject to availability and clearance of funds, requests will be processed within 3-7 working days and delivery confirmed by way of online shipping confirmation. There is no delivery charge on purchases of R2000 or more (T&C’s apply).

Terms and conditions to qualify for no delivery charge

  1. Free delivery on purchase of more than R2000
  2. Delivery will take place during business hours only and to a physical address within the borders of South Africa
  3. We unfortunately cannot deliver to a P O Box.
  4. Shipping to outside of major metropolitan areas or outlying / remote area will attract an additional fee
  5. During the mycamera checkout process based on your delivery address and postal code your delivery options will be determined.  Purchases under R2000 have a R150 delivery fee.
  6. The delivery time to city areas is usually between 3 and 7 working days, excluding weekends.

In the event of stock shortages or should a product you have ordered be out of stock or temporarily or permanently unavailable, mycamera will notify you of the delay and when it will be available.  You will have the option to accept the delay or accept delivery of an alternative agreed upon product, or we can credit your mycamera account or process a refund.

Shipping and Returns Policy

When you click to make a purchase with us legal obligations arise and your right to refund of monies charged to your credit card or paid in any other way agreed by us, are limited by our terms & conditions. You must not make any purchase through this site unless you understand and agree all our terms and conditions. Once payment is made for the purchase, it is deemed that you have read and understood the terms and conditions for such purchase. Should you for any reason wish to return your purchase because you find it unsuitable, you should notify us first by e-mail or telephonically within 7 days, quoting your invoice number toorders@mycamera.co.za would then arrange that the goods be collected from you via our courier company. Once the goods have been delivered to mycamera.co.za, checked that all packing and items are present and that the item/s remain in a resalable working condition and has not been used or seal has been broken, we will refund your credit card for the full amount less delivery fee to. A 10 percent handling charge may apply.

If the incorrect product is delivered to you by in error (i.e. it is not the product you purchased), please do not remove the product from its original packaging or try the product on at all. Please promptly contact the mycamera on 087 2300 050 or orders@mycamera.co.za to notify us thereof, so that we can resolve the mistake by arranging to collect such product from you and deliver the correct product to you as quickly as possible.

Refunds policy

The provision of goods and services by mycamera.co.za is subject to availability.  In cases of unavailability, mycamera.co.za will refund the client in full within 30 days.  Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 10% administration fee. All other products carry a 12 month warranty from the day of purchase.  Should you be entitled to a refund (for any reason), such refund will be effected on the credit card used to purchase the product or deposited into a valid South African bank account via EFT within 10 working days of the product being returned to mycamera and checked.

Fraud Prevention

mycamera reserves the right to refuse, for fraud prevention reasons, processing any payment for any order, and/or to cancel any purchase partially or completely, with notice given to you. mycamera  will be responsible for returning funds for the cancelled portion of the order to you only if you have already paid such funds.

1 Year Guarantee

If at any point the product you purchased develops a factory fault during the 1 year guarantee we will repair the item at no charge including any shipping charges to and from your destination provided the following holds true:

The product has not been dropped, bumped, crushed or been subjected to adverse conditions like extreme cold or heat, high humidity or been handled incorrectly.

The manufacturer's operating instructions / procedures have been adhered to.

Supplier's warranty

Certain products may come with a supplier's guarantee. If so, this will be stated in the product listing on the site. Clear details of these guarantees are given in their listings and no shopper may ask to be covered by a wider-ranging guarantee other than the one shown on such product listing.

Customer privacy policy

mycamera.co.za  shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). mycamera.co.za respects the privacy of its users and will not disclose personal information to third parties without your express permission. mycamera is authorised to gather, use and store the information you provide on the website for the purposes of:

  • Aggregate non personal statistics and usage statistics across the mycamera site
  • To verify your identity when you conclude transactions on the site
  • Ensure that correct information is used in the delivery process.  You acknowledge and agree that certain personal information (such as your full name, delivery address, email address and contact details) may be passed on to the courier company to ensure delivery of the products you have bought.
  • Inform you of mycamera promotions, specials and competitions
  • The above information is either gathered electronically through the use of ""cookies"", or provided by you voluntarily. You can regulate the use of ""cookies"" independently with your personal search engine settings

Payment options accepted

Payment may be made via Visa or MasterCard credit cards or by bank transfer into the mycamera.co.za bank account, the details of which will be provided on request

Credit card acquiring and security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for mycamera.co.za via mygate.  mygate uses 3D Secure is the most widely used fraud prevention technology in online payments. Also known as MasterCard Secure Code and Verified by Visa, 3D Secure requires that the card holder enter a secure PIN online before the payment is processed to the bank. 3D Secure can reduce chargebacks as the card holder can be authenticated that they are the person holding the card.

Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by mycamera.co.za separately from card details which are entered by the client on mygate’s secure site.  For more detail on mygate refer to www.mygate.co.za

Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa.  Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).


mycamera.co.za  takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods. s


mycamera will take all resonable efforets to accurately reflect the description, availablility, purchase price and delivery charges of all products on the website. However, should there be any errors of whatsoever nature on the www.mycamera.co.za website (which are not due to our gross negligence), we will not be liable for any loss, claim or expense relating  to a transaction based on any error, sav, in the circumstances to inform the consumer to whom the erroneous price may have been displayed of the error and the correct price. Mycamera will refund any amount already paid, or otherwise as set out in the returns policy.

Drone legislation

Civil Aviation Authority (Sacaa) New regulations apply to Drones for sale on the mycamera website .

  • A person would need a licence to fly a drone, at minimum be 18-years-old, and hold at least a valid class four medical certificate for beyond visual line of sight operations, or operations involving drones classified as class 3 or higher.
  • They would need to hold a restricted certificate of proficiency in aeronautical radiotelephony, and a drone pilot would also need to provide proof they speak English at a proficiency level of four or higher.
  • If a person has the correct licence, they would still need an issued letter of approval, valid for a period of 12 months.
  • A drone could not be sold unless the seller notified the buyer of the operational requirements as imposed by the Sacaa.
  • A drone cannot tow another aircraft, perform aerial or aerobatic displays, or be flown in a formation or swarm.
  • Drones cannot be flown next to or above a nuclear power plant, prison, police station, crime scene, court of law, national key point or strategic installation.
  • No drone could be operated 121.92m above the surface, or within a radius of 10km from an aerodrome, be flown overhead any person or group, or within a lateral distance of 50m from any person, or within a lateral distance of 50m from any structure or building.
  • The use of public roads for the landing and taking-off of a drone was also prohibited, unless for civil defence of law-enforcement purposes.

Country of domicile

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and mycamera.co.za chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
